Booking Process in Greene County
Central Booking is inside Greene County Prison. The county process includes administrative intake, physical processing, a medical and mental-health intake interview, search procedures, photograph, fingerprints, screening, and delousing protocol when required.

How to Contact an Inmate
After initial processing, inmates may complete collect or debit calls from housing units. Phones are available from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, subject to cutoff for meals, medication, and security. Prohibited conduct includes three-way calls, threats, witness contact, sharing PINs, damaging equipment, and criminal activity.

Commissary and Inmate Funds
Friends and family may deposit funds through JailATM, a cash kiosk in the prison lobby, or a debit/credit card kiosk in the lobby. The depositor limit is $300 per week. Fees documented in the research are $3.25 for cash deposits, $3.25 for debit/credit deposits of $1-$25, and 10% for debit/credit deposits of $26-$300.
Inmates may spend no more than $100 per week on commissary. Orders are placed by phone with PIN from Tuesday 6:00 a.m. through Sunday 9:00 p.m., with no Monday orders. Delivery is usually Wednesday and distributed no later than Saturday, subject to holidays.
